How to organize your clothes without a closet

When you’re lacking closet space -and have already gotten rid of everything you don’t use- recurring to DIY can be a great way to maximize your space and become more organized.

  1. Combine different pieces

You can use a combination of shelves, a dresser, and a rack to hang your bulkier or more delicate clothes. You can turn a small corner or a wall in your room and turn it into a full closet. Make sure to measure the space beforehand so you can purchase elements accordingly and strategize the way you organize your belongings for maximum possibilities.

     2. Clothing racks!

Clothing racks are always an affordable and fashionable option that is also easy to adapt to your needs and space limitations. If you want your clothes to be visible, you can invest in good-quality racks. If you’re worried about not being able to hide your closet space, you can always use a nice curtain and create a statement area in your bedroom.

     3. Under bed storage

Getting some baskets or storage bins is a great way to maximize your space when too small, keep in mind that they need to be breathable and that they should be easy to open/close so it doesn’t become a chore to get dressed in the morning. Under-bed storage also works perfectly for those items you no longer use or for seasonal clothing.

You can choose whatever design or material that work best for your needs and wants, just make sure you choose wisely so that your personal belonging don’t suffer any harm. If you have things you don’t use as much, our storage bins are a great way to keep them out of sight but still within easy access.

    4. Height is your friend

If you have little-to-no room for a closet but have tall ceilings, you can install shelves a little higher and utilize the space below your clothes to keep your shoes and bags. Hello, woven baskets… This will also help with visual clutter and make you feel like you have a lot more space.

    5. White walls for the win

Visual clutter can make you feel stressed, anxious, and make your room look tiny. Despite having a lot of stuff, darker walls and patterns are not recommended for small rooms. One major design trick is to paint your walls white, since it won’t absorb most of the light, it will create a sleek modern look and make the space feel calm in spite of your open closet. Also, try to keep the rest of your decor in the room fairly simple.
